Have you been to Ogden's downtown amphitheater? If not, try to attend one of the many awesome events going on there this summer. The amphitheater is located at the Municipal Gardens on 25th and Washington Blvd. It's right next to the Municipal Building, which I listed as one of Ogden's Top Ten Landmarks, and is a perfect place to spend a summer afternoon. There is a nice park area, the gardens, statues, tacos stands and yummy treats at Trudy's Poppin' Johnny's Ice Cream.
Last night, I went to this summer's first Monday Night at the Movies and watch Shrek Forever After. It was better than the drive-in! The screen wasn't as big, but the sound was much better and it was free. We brought our own snacks and our daughter met some friends to play with.

Mondays
As I said earlier, Monday is movie night. Every week they will show a different family movie. The event starts at 7pm with live music and the movie starts at dusk.

Wednesdays
Wednesday is all about music. Tomorrow kicks off both Tunes at Noon and Talent in the Park. Tunes at Noon will be a great event to bring a picnic and enjoy the sunshine with live music from a different artist each week. Talent in the Park showcases a different local band/musician each Wednesday night.

Friday, July 1- Ultimate Louisiana Style Party. Enjoy you're catfish and cornbread with live folk and reggae music at this unique event. Tickets are $25/person. Get more info here.
Saturday, July 16- Reggae Music festival from 12-10pm.
Sunday, July 31- Celtic Music festival from 12-10pm.
Don't forget to mark your calendars for the Farmer's Market. It starts July 9th and will also feature live music at the amphitheater.
